How to use baby ear thermometers?
One of the things that really puts people off buying a baby ear thermometer is that they are difficult to use. This is a real misconception - just try taking your baby's temperature with a conventional thermometer - 100 time more difficult! Anyway, to try and allay any concerns we want to illustrate how rediculously simple they are to operate. Now, they all work slightly differently so we can't cover them all. Let's focus on our recommended product which is one of the easiest on the market to use.
So, first think you need to do is fit a lense filter (a plastic cap) over the sensor. You then turn it on and wait for the ready signal beep and the ready signal in the display. When ready you fit the probe snuggly into the ear canal and press that start button. An indicator light on the device will indicate if it's in the proper position in your baby's ear. It will then give out a long beep once the process is complete and an acccurate reading has been take. If for some reason the thermometer has not been able to take an accurate reading it will emit a series of short beeps and an error message will appear on the display.
When a correct reading has been obtained it is indicated in the display. The ear themometer will then turn itself off if not used for 60 seconds.
The last 8 temperature readings are stored in the memory. It's very easy to scroll through these. It's also very easy to switch between Celsius and Farenheight temperature scales.
And that's it. It really us that simple. In fact there are just two buttons on the whole device and, as you can see from above, the device provides you with constant feedback telling you if you have used it incorrectly and if it's been unable to obtain an accurate reading! You really are in safe hands.
